FAQ

Most frequent questions and answers

To keep your lawn healthy this time of year, it needs one inch of rain per week. If weather is dry, we suggest watering your lawn every 5 days for an hour in each place your sprinkler covers. Watering is your first line of response to lawn disease and damage to help your lawn recover.

If you are investing in the health of your lawn with fertilizer and weed control, then including aeration is a very easy answer: Yes. Aeration loosens the soil to improve the flow of air, water and fertilizers to the grass roots. Aerating your lawn also controls thatch build up, encourages roots to grow deeper and denser, making your lawn more resilient to drought and weed infestation. Aeration is one of the single most effective practices to help your lawn thrive. This is one of the best things you can do for your lawn once a year.

If you are seeing brown patches in your lawn, go to the end of the brown patch to the green part of your lawn. Pull up on the green grass, if it pulls up like a piece of carpeting, you probably have grubs and you may see white grubs in the soil.

No. As long as your gate is unlocked and your pets are inside, we will treat the lawn. Our trained professionals will obtain any information pertinent to your location (i.e. locked gate) when you sign up. When we are done, we will leave a bill on the door and a flag in the yard.

A pesticide is a product that targets and controls a pest, such as: weeds, insects or fungi. These types of pesticides are respectively defined as herbicide, insecticide, and fungicide. These are just a few examples of pesticides. Pesticides are classified by the EPA as either general-use (Hardware Store) or restricted use (Licensed Professional).

As long as your yard has had adequate time to dry after the application of your treatment (30-45 minutes depending on temperature and humidity), rain should not impact the effectiveness of your service.  Rain is not a large concern because of the residual attributes of our products. The products are designed to last, so once dry, only a fraction of the product can be physically removed other than by the natural breakdown of the product. We will not spray in the rain, but we can spray soon thereafter.

After a barrier treatment, you need to ensure that the product has completely dried before going outside. Depending on outdoor temperatures and humidity, we recommend a minimum of 30-45 minutes depending on temperature and humidity.  Once completely dried, you and your family may safely enjoy your deck, pool and yard.

You should water your lawn after an application. If it doesn’t rain within 24 hours after our visit, please water your lawn to help achieve optimal results from our lawn application.

Please make sure to allow access to your property by keeping gates unlocked and pets inside your home on scheduled service days.

Absolutely. Our barrier treatments are a great solution for many commercial businesses such as restaurants with patios, parks, campgrounds, public pools and playgrounds, sports fields, daycares, outdoor wedding venues, schools and more.
